"Black women have been in church since the beginning of the church. You can't simply state the church is the reason without explaining the possible changes in the church that may have lead to this result. I find it odd that the folks who make these argument take what used to be a source of strength in the black community (education, pride, and faith) and turn it into the black woman's downfall.
If they're so concerned about finding reasons for the rise in single black women why not address the break down of the black family, the effects of poverty in the black community, and the changing values? Why not attack what is blatantly bad instead? Please don't continue to fall for this mess."
